About Maritime City
The project was launched in 2004 and work began on reclaiming the land to create the peninsula. From 2009 to 2011 the project was put on hold as a result of the global financial crisis, but work resumed in 2012. A year later Damac Properties announced plans to transform a plot of land on the seafront at Dubai Maritime City into a high-rise luxury tower of serviced hotel residences. No income or capital-gains tax on property
Dubai charges no annual property tax, no income tax on rental yield, and no capital-gains tax on resale. The DLD 4% transfer fee is a one-time cost at registration — after that, your returns are yours.
