Mudon

Mudon is Arabic for ‘cities’, and what has been built is about one third the size of the original Mudon project, an ambitious scheme to replicate five ancient Middle Eastern cities - Baghdad, Beirut, Damascus, Cairo, and Marrakech - within one large city. However, in common with many other real estate projects, Mudon was put on hold when the 2008 financial crisis hit Dubai and over half of the land was sold to Damac Properties for their Damac Hills development.
